March was a good month for home sales across the state, but median prices took a small hit.
There were 1,409 reported home sales for March, an increase of 115 compared to March 2013 when the total was 1,294.
Data was released by the Realtors Association of New Mexico this week.
The statewide median price last month was $2,500 less than one year ago — $171,500 versus $169,000. RANM officials said, however, that even with the drop to $169,900, the total is higher than the Q1 2013 price of $165,477 and the Q1 2012 median of $159,900.
[RANM President Sandylee] Pasquale said that March 2013 volume was $270 million and March 2014 was $338 million.
